Campus Customs started in 1975 when Barry Cobden (Joel & Jeremy's Dad, Ariel's Grandad) opened a Yale University memorabilia retail store directly across from the campus. The store is still open at that same location, and although Barry is retired now, we continue to run the company, keeping his exceptional customer service tradition and ethical business practices as our top priorities. In short, we love what we do, and we love building long-term relationships with our clients.
We’ve expanded quite a bit over these last 50+ years to include large-scale screen printing and embroidery, web store design and online fulfillment, graphic design, and complete event merchandise services.
In 2022, Joel, Kim, and Ariel made the decision to move their family down to Celebration, Florida (just outside Disney World). Within minutes of arriving (8pm at night to be exact), they met Laurentiu (owner of Stanica Realty Group) who was still working late on a Sunday. Laurentiu immediately became part of the Cobden family and decided that Campus Customs would become part of his daily passion. Soon after, Joel, Jeremy, and Laurentiu decided that they would become partners in bringing Campus Customs to the next generation.
Campus Customs now has five locations within Connecticut and Florida and more ideas are on the way. Whether it is custom printing or embroidery, or full turn key retail operations, our history is building our future. The third generation of our family business is creating the most exciting of times while keeping an eye on the 50+ year history that has guided the way.
